The Level 2 Award and Diploma qualifications in Creative Media Production and Technology will provide you with an introduction to a broad range of creative and technical skills in media production enabling you to acquire the skills, knowledge and understanding to progress to Further Education and employment within the industry in a range of media-related subjects such as TV, Film, sound engineering and others.
You will develop a wide range of skills associated with film, TV, radio and digital online content; actively engaging in practical sessions on cinematography (camera and lighting techniques), sound production and post-production editing in sound and video. Practical sessions are complemented with sessions which explore employment opportunities related to the creative industries. Throughout the year you will develop an online portfolio of evidence which will demonstrate your continual improvement in all practical aspects of the course. This might include evidence of film challenges, sound recording experiments and video editing tasks. Using the skills you have developed you will choose a media product you wish to research and create before publishing your finished production online, this could include: a short film, documentary, podcast or TV show.
