Beauty Therapy

Course units include:

• Facials
• Eye treatments
• Waxing
• Manicure
• Pedicure
• Threading
• Tanning
• Health and safety
• Client care and communication
• Anatomy and Physiology

You will also be required to attend some twilight and evening sessions.

Entry to this course requires a minimum of grade a 3 in both GCSE English and Maths. If you have not achieved the above, you maybe offered the Level 1 Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector course.

Successful completion of this course can lead to progression to further study or employment in the Beauty Therapy sector. After completing this course, you have the opportunity to progress to Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects Hair and Media Make-up.

As part of this course you will complete a 30 hour (one week) work placement in a salon. You can also participate in extra curricular activities, such as attending UK beauty exhibitions. Please note there may be additional costs for extra curricular activities.
